In New England it was called a salt box, I think. Here it is a typical southern farm house. With additions.
I have no idea when it was built, but this little spur of highway leading to Linville Falls had several just like it...and this is the one I wanted pictures of. It's for sale too!
Me too, but I'd need a staff to keep it up! There are lots of vacation homes perched on cliffs over the cove nearby. Also near the golf course. That means prices aren't quite like other areas probably.
