Roof trusses

A couple of weeks ago, this big crane appeared (on a truck) and started lifting the roof trusses up over the now-two-story house.

The far end had some with a cut-out on one side, so there will apparently be a cathedral ceiling in part of this dwelling.  The ground floor is totally garage space, with 2 doors on this end, and another one on the side facing my street.

I've got more photos to edit, but I was totally intrigued by this process of construction, so will give you more tomorrow!

Today's Quote:
Your worth is not a product of your intelligence, your talent, your looks, or how much you have accomplished.
Though much of who and what we are changes as we journey through life, our inherent worth remains constant.

  1. It is amazing as to how fast a house can go up when a lot of its parts are premade in factories and brought in and assembled.
