Out and about April 5-6

Looking down State Street (US70) to the west at the big intersection in Black Mountain NC.

Traffic crossing is on Montreat St. (NC 9) which deadends in the small town of Montreat to the right.

Town Hardware is a fun place with goodie tourist things, toys, and real hardware that I always can find there.

After the real estate office at the corner, you can walk by the hair salon, then Hey Hey Cupcake, and a wine store, and then the Kitchen store, and eventually Kilwins will offer ice cream and fudge after many other local shops.
The little antique store has had many different other residents...and just keeps on pulling the tourists in.

The really important place for tourists to go is the Visitor Center run by the Chamber of Commerce. It's the next light to the east on State Street.

Surprise, this was in Asheville! I had to pick up a printer ink cartridge at Staples, and as I drove out of its driveway, the Liquid Dragon Tattoos caught my eye!

Vocations which we wanted to pursue, but didn't, bleed, like colors, on the whole of our existence. -Honore de Balzac, novelist (20 May 1799-1850)

    1. It is so difficult to drive and take photos...do you have someone who does the driving for you, or do you just stop and shoot like I do?

  2. It is so nice to get out after being cooped up.

    1. Yes indeed, or AMEN brother! You've had additional time inside this winter, or dealing with ice and snow. Enjoy your spring!

    1. I drive around and see lots of places of interest, and yet can't stop because of traffic. Parking lots do help!

  4. I's interesting to me how spacious your streetscapes look. I suppose you have a lot more room in your country than we have!
