A small Remembrance Garden for those who have passed, at the back side of UUCSV in Black Mountain
Maybe those buds on the trees against the North Carolina blue sky aren't amazing to you. But my new (cataracts removed) eyes see their colors as vivid...and I had to share.
Mr. iPhone didn't focus on the bud...grrr.

Colours will be vivid initially..I still remember a potter friend advising others not to rush to change their glazes after cataract surgery!! What Pirate now appreciates is not just colour, but depth of field
ReplyDeleteI have less sight from not having prescription glasses to correct the astigmatism, and not much depth of field ability at this time, especially when ramps or slopes appear that I hadn't expeccted!
DeleteThat is the next step then, once your eyes have settled down.
Delete...seeing isn't something to be taken for granted.

DeleteAt least on an iPhone, you can hold your finger on the focus spot to make it lock focus. I don't mean that you keep it there, but you hold it long enough for it to register. I presume that all phones work the same way, but I don't know for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat seems to work only if the spot is the larger thing in the photo...tiny flowers against a lot of background just seem to loose out.

ReplyDeleteThanks. So far so good. I was very grateful for a friend who drove me to all those eye appointments before I was cleared for driving again. And the procedures went very well.

DeleteI had one eye done and the pandemic cancelled my appointment for the second procedure. I'll get around to it eventually. Meanwhile, I enjoy closing first one eye then the other to see how much difference the surgery made, color-wise..
