The treated lawn outside my apartment...it has lots of surviving dandelions at least.
I have been walking around the neighborhood more, so more pretty blossoms will be coming soon!

Delete...at night dandelions close their flowers. In the morning our lawn looks nice and green, in the afternoon it's a sea of yellow.
ReplyDeleteYou must be up at dawn. I've never been looking at dandelions when they're sleeping. I am too at that time.
DeleteLove the header with the rhododendren. The three we planted are in varying stages of decline. Don't know why.

DeleteIsn't that self heal/prunella/bugloss in the treated lawn as well? I love variety in a green patch...ban lawn treating!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but yes, a lot of little purple flowers did come out early. I'm so sorry that there are fewer bugs, and thus fewer birds. It's sad to have a sanitized bit of nature outside my window.
DeleteSpring is definitely in bloom there. We're a bit behind here, except for the dandelions which are attempting to take over everywhere!

ReplyDeleteI keep pushing myself to get out and take photos, because rain is forecast for the next day. And then it doesn't come! Ha. I get a day off anyway.

ReplyDeleteWe joined in on No Mow May a couple of years ago, and we're pleasantly surprised at the flowers that came up.. including two sorts of wild orchid!
