Off Montreat Rd

Fall colors along Beech Street, Black Mountain

"We are each other's harvest; we are each other's business; we are each other's magnitude and bond."
Gwendolyn Brooks

Ms. Brooks speaks very poetically, but what does "magnitude and bond" mean?  For me it tends to say we make the other bigger, but also hold them back, or set limits.  What do you think?

  1. For me "bond" means "investment". We all invest time and emotions in friends and family and so often it pays us back with dividends.

    1. Good point Alan, I guess I don't think in financial terminology usually!

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
