Lake Eden Part One

Lake Eden has a beautiful surrounding.  It used to be the campus site for Black Mountain College, which closed after 27 years in the 50s.  Today there are two concerts held each year, fall and spring, on the grounds, called LEAF, Lake Eden Arts Festival.

In the summertime there's another great event...Camp Rockmont.
My friend Annie Singletary is now teaching a clay class at the camp.

There are the usual camp sports activities of course.

I'll show you more of Lake Eden tomorrow...

    1. Thanks, it is, and these aren't the greatest photos of it, but camp was in session so I was kind of sneaking around.

  3. These are some beautiful pictures, but the reason I am stopping by is that I read your comment about Moral Monday in N.C. on Vicki Lane's blog and I just wanted to let you know how sad I am that this is necessary, once again, but how happy I am that the good people of your state are doing something about this takeover of human, civil, and the rights of women. I will sign up to follow you on this blog and that way I can read the others as well.

I m originally from Sweden and was involved in the civil rights movement in the 1960s and I just can't believe what is happening in this country. I live in California, which is a blue state, but only along the major population centers. Here in the country where I live people seriously believe in going backwards.

    1. Thanks Inger...you are welcome, and will notice I don't post politically most of the time. But everyone is being affected these days, and therefore is becoming political.

    1. I told eveyone they should be there, to be part of history of our area. I never went to the Occupy movements.

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
