Memorial day cemetery visit

World War I
I was able to only take pictures, and enjoy the view in 3 directions.  In one view I even was able to see the Burnett Reservoir.  Many of the people who lived before it was flooded are buried here.   I share just those whose headstones speak of their service in the armed forces...and these are just the few that I noticed.  I didn't take the time to look at all the graves.
Gratitude for soldiering that may have peace as its goal.

    1. I've got a yen to visit more old cemeteries in the area. Next week a friend and I will be out with camera to see some older grave sites. There are Revolutionary War heroes in Waynesville, I've heard.

  4. Well, Denise, I kept trying to write this as "reply" but blogger only will let me write it as a new comment. Thanks so much for chatting every once in a while. I love your blog! More cemeteries will be coming, and it's great weather for strolling through them.
