The flowers are out!

A few weeks ago I bought my first 3 plants, and gradually placed them among some older ones on my front porch railing.

Isn't this a fun variety? Purple Polka-dot Petunias. (That's not the name, but you can see it describes them!)
The variegated coleus will be fun growing there, above the hostas which come back every year in the ground.  My purple shamrock isn't too happy yet out there.  It may have to be more shaded.

The old plants include a geriatric gardenia bush on the floor of the porch.  It has been pruned down pretty severely, and needs TLC to see if it will survive another summer.  No spring blooms yet this year.

I had just the right pot for these new succulents which were tokens from the wedding in FL a couple of weeks ago.

And the bush by the front porch is about to burst into bloom.  Giving me something to look forward to sharing with you!
