Night light

From this...

To this,..
Or this...

To THIS!

I'm glad the little lamp is by a wall,  which shows the patterns of the cut glass best.  It took a day of good hard sunshine to charge the little guy, cause the first night he stayed dark.  And since a street light also hits the area, it isn't till you're pretty close that you notice the sweet little light.

Today's quote:

You don't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when. You can decide how you're going to live now.

Welcoming return of the light

The swing is about to happen again, returning of light on the longest night of the year.

Here I see my shadow from the little foot bridge over Flat Creek up in Montreat.  This is as tall as my shadow will be, as the tilt of mother earth is about to go back the other direction for 6 months.

Accept our dark shadow selves...as well as a bright shadow self.  We don't know these aspects of ourselves as well as others may, because for us they are always behind us.  But the parts of ourself that are hidden, both that which is dark and that which is brilliant, are very important for our being.  It's not just putting on a smile for other people.  They already know, they already see, our true beings are shining out for everyone.
