Behind the Center for the Arts

A brick cross walk leads from the down-hill parking area.  Behind the bright Crepe Myrtle is the Swannanoa Valley History Museum, (right) and to it's' left is the Black Mountain Center for the Arts.

There is an upper level of parking,

with a steep slope that's landscaped between the two parking areas.

The path shows that the black Mountain Beautification Committee has been at work here.

Roots

Among the stones.

Beside the waters

Across the path...
Do you feel your roots growing down into soil to replenish your life, your spirit?

Quote for today:

Happiness is to appreciate what you have; unhappiness is to dwell on what you don't have.

Gifts of nature

The spiral reflection from the leaves above the pool captured my attention.  The pool has recently been reinforced by summer bathers...but I didn't see any on my visit.

Hummingbird moving through in a blur

While the butterflies fled eventually, who should I spy also enjoying the Bee Balm nectar, but a fast and brownish grey hummer.  Either very young or female, but definitely without the ruby throat and green necklace.

Quote for today:

Seeing the bounty and ease within and all around and diligently fanning the flame of certainty opens the channel for dissonance to resolve naturally into harmony.
