It's kind of fun reading the bricks, seeing who has made a dedication to the park and in whose honor.
My favorite photo of walkways was this one with a noon day shadow cast from the decorative fence, which is really hard to photograph!
Black Mountain
The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?
I see I really need to visit Black Mountain again - it's been years since I have.
ReplyDeleteYES you really really should...and we can meet for lunch or coffee or whatever when you come! Just let me know! I will roll out the red (mmm, whatever rags I can find).
