Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Bakery in town

Black Mountain Bakery is tucked off the main street on Church Street.  It has lots of good things to eat in or take out.
Today's Quote:

There is within each of us a modulation, an inner exaltation, which lifts us above the buffetings with which events assail us. Likewise, it lifts us above dependence upon the gifts of events for our joy.  Dr. Albert Schweitzer

  3. oh was my weakness many years ago. That is how I got fat for many years. I had to buy a goody when I was walking.

I used to live in Canada on Church street. Three minutes from the New Hospital.

    Nice pictures.
