Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Iris, goddess of the rainbow

Bertha had made a complete Iris garden.  Dozens of different varieties.  I'll share some with you today, more tomorrow.

Thought for the day:

There is nothing in your life that cannot be overcome; whatever the situation or problem, there is always a solution.

    1. Yes, my neighbor who's moved to assisted living had planted an entire garden all around her home. So now we get to look at it. Someone was looking out her window at me as I sneaked in with camera yesterday. Just leaving footprints. (unless the flowers are already damaged, then I do rescue them)

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
