Otter know better!

  Otters anyone?

I adore these playful critters! And here's a video where house crows interact with them as well.

"Bandit" Baker showing just how fierce he is.

Sharing with Saturday Critters.

OK OK, here's a photo I took myself...just to show I'm still walking around looking for critters in real life!

Our maintenance man leaves his window down in his car, so Puff, our resident kitty, decided to explore inside his car the other day. She stayed a while, and I doubt that he ever noticed!

Today's quote:

Courage is what love looks like when tested by the simple everyday necessities of being alive.

    1. I fell in love with otters at the Chattanooga Aquarium. Since then have seen every exhibit I could.

  2. I think I've only seen one otter in the wild, as it were. It was in Eels Creek near where we used to cottage.

    1. Yes indeed, but won't let me pet her. She has been known to sunbathe on my porch, and once walked in the apartment when I had propped the door open...but she's quite skittish toward everyone but her owner. (Owner incidentally is wheelchair bound, but speeds around in her electric chair quite crazily (but says she is in control!)

  5. i enjoyed the video, it appears the otters have taken over the streets!! i never leave the windows open in my car for just this reason. and we have a "bear" problem in new jersey, another reason to keep all windows shut and locked!! i enjoyed your post, have a wonderful weekend!!

    1. Good to hear you are aware of bears...we have them too, and I park right in front of the trash corral of 8 bins, so I kind of keep an eye on when other residents in the apartment complex leave food out. The day before pick up (only weekly) we frequently have some bag pulled out of the trash bins and investigated by bears. Most of the bins have locking lids, so it's just carelessness when some food is available. Thanks for dropping by.

  8. So cute, I love otters. Thank you for the video. Cats tend to be curious and want to be aloof. I guess the car was a relaxing place for her.

    1. I think Puff was just being cat curious. She looked at everything, gave it a good sniff, and then went patrolling her territory. Me too, I love otters!

  9. I love all the creatures, though I am smart enough to avoid contact with some! Saw some insane people in our state posing with baby bears they pulled down from trees! Too bad Mama Bear didn't give them a good lesson about wildlife!
