Around town update

 

The work continues on the additions, but we can still see the bones of the original building in the stonework. https://www.facebook.com/NorthCarolinaGlassCenter will be opening soon.

They posted on Facebook this morning (Fri) that a cat had some kittens in the chimney and the construction workers moved them to another store. Asking if anyone owned her, of course. Other Black Mountain businesses said they'd contribute to vet bills for her to be spayed if nobody claims her.

Mural Monday

What does a unicorn have to do with football, vollyball and soccer? 
 

The light inside the Pepperoni's Pizaa place looks like a horn, but it's a WarHorse which is the mascot of our local high school. They've been doing pretty well in sports lately!

Finished Mural and Igikai

 "Igikai" is a Japanese word for 'your reason for being'.

Ikigai: the intersection of passion, mission, vocation, and profession.

It's where what you love meets what you're good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs.
