Linville Falls

I like having a sense of where I am in relation to mother earth.
The parking area at Linville Falls had this map, which is less than helpful.

You walk downhill for 0.4 miles.  Almost all at this angle, which is easy going down.  I turned around and looked back up a few times.  Always thinking about how I might be returning later.

Every time I found color in trees, I snapped a picture, and who knows who that lady with huge sunglasses might be.

My friend, Helen was the first to see the falls.  She just stopped for a while.

The first view of Linville Falls
Sometimes I hate how bright sunlight burns away details in simple point and shoot cameras, like an iPhone.

Tomorrow I'll share more pictures of a very picturesque viewing area.  Breathtaking to say the least.

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
