Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Yes, there's more to fall.  Continued tomorrow.  And I think I'll have a bit higher resolution on the photos...these are a bit small!  For such a large subject!

  1. I always feel a bit sad to see an old tree cut down. On the other side there are so many trees in my father-in-law's yard, one fell on his house and took a corner off a few years ago. After that he cut every tree down within hitting distance.

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
