Lakeview at noon on Mon.

There was one or maybe two camp busses or vans in the parking lot. So all those campers had come to swim for a while.

I get a bit more exercise since the pool opens to the public at 11, and my lunch isn't until 12. So I have to park further away since all the close parking is taken by the pool visitors now.

I may feel the sun's heat just before noon as I walk about 1/3 of the way around the lake, but these people were actually playing tennis that day!

Gifts of nature

The spiral reflection from the leaves above the pool captured my attention.  The pool has recently been reinforced by summer bathers...but I didn't see any on my visit.

Sure there's the lake year round.  And you can walk around it, around and around.

But only when school's out is the pool open. And this is the first week after school is out.  Finally.

Last night Park Rhythms started...a 2 hour free concert on the green looking over the lake.  Every Thursday evening during the summer.  It was cool and beautiful...and a couple of nice vendors sold food also.  You do have to get there early to park for the 7 pm concert.

The pool is open!

It opened Sat. before Memorial Day.  After all our brisk nights lately, only the brave are getting wet.
