Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Greenway Black Mountain

Looking south along walking/wheeling Greenway towards town of Black Mountain...just past the evergreens you'll discover Flat Creek accompanies you the whole way.  It is only just begun, and many folks hope it's extended in both directions!

  1. What a lovely photo! I would enjoy walking along that path. We used to live near a Black Mountain in California, a little more barren looking than the lush green of NC I'm sure. Thanks for stopping by my flower show post and have a great weekend :)
