sharing my photographs of the the beauty of western North Carolina.
Lovely pink flower, and no, I don't know...but isn't that so true about the split second...and man, have I missed my share of split seconds!
I think it is Flowering Quince. Very pretty!LeaLea's Menagerie
Quince...that's a name that doesn't stay in my mind, but you're right!
What a beautiful shade of pink!
Luckily, Lea knew it, because I'm the worst with names of flowers. Nevertheless, it's pretty and does look like spring!
I just checked the empty house's lot where this quince bloomed several years ago. Someone thought clearing away thorny briars was a good idea, so there won't be any quince this year. There's a huge pile of brush instead. Too bad. Not exactly an improvement to my mind.
I can't name it, but it sure is pretty!
I tried to comment on your other blog, the one about the year before you turn 70, but see that you only allow Google members to comment. I wanted to tell you how much I loved your photo of the couple sitting in the living room. One seldom sees interior photos of that time period.
OK, now it says it will take "registered users." I just wanted to avoid the anonymous comments that were mostly spam. Hope you can comment there now!
