Crops gone

After harvest, the garden beds look so lean.  I think of all those jars of food that have been canned by dear sweet friends, sweating in hot summer kitchens, to be used when it's cold outside their homes this winter.

  1. There is something sad about the garden's end. But you are correct. We should focus on the bounty it provided.
