Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Through the woods

This post got eaten by my internet program, Firefox, earlier today.  I couldn't do a thing with it, even open it.  So here I am trying to start over again.  There are often these little surprises when we least expect them.

The last of the leaves were falling last week...so I know the colors are gone here now.

Quote for today:

In the time of your life, live — so that in that wondrous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.
William Saroyan

  1. Barb -- Those darn computers -- they can be tricky but we seem to forgive as they give us so much info as well as communicative abilities. Nice photos. Have a good holiday week -- barbara

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
