Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Saluda part 8

Rather sad looking abandoned house on a crossroad to the main highway.

We had to cut our visit short this time, but Saluda does have other things that sound enticing.

We had no idea what the original function of this building might have been, across the street from the railroad.

Sweet Nasturtiums to end our visit to Saluda, NC.

  1. It is an interesting little building. It is far from the tracks so it wouldn't be a part of the RR.
