The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Not just a pretty tree
This tree gave smiles to viewers at St. James Episcopal Church on Saturday at the Arts and Crafts market...
Quote for today:
May the sun bring you new energy by day; may the moon softly
restore you by night; may the rain wash away your worries; may the breeze blow
new strength into your being.
Hi Denise...those red leaves are just the colors of fall...while the rest of the tree was still green. I've never seen such blatant contrast on one tree before!
It is a true gift, and I forgot to mention how taken I was with your header photo. Gorgeous! Thanks so much for stopping by my Cockington Village post, and have a great week :)
So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
Still blooming! Such a pretty sight :)
