A birch with a strange configuration.
Black Mountain
The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?
Hello, pretty views of the river and woods. Enjoy your day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteA nice place to walk! I can almost hear the river.
ReplyDeleteA lovely place to walk in the winter woods--and I imagine in the summer also. By the way the tree in the second photo is a beech, not a birch. A birch would have papery bark. A beech has leaves which cling all winter.
ReplyDeleteWeird what trees sometimes do!
