On a Saturday at noon, there are lots of tourists in town. They keep our economy going, so I'm glad to see them.
The little sidewalk planters are blooming again.
I took something back to Town Hardware, and purchased something else. They are so much more personal than the big box stores...and fortunately there isn't one closer than 15 miles!
I took this shot because I'd never seen the Town Hardware sign painted on the bricks before.
This shows Cherry St. intersection (coming from the right) with State St. At times there was almost no traffic.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe mural on the hardware store is pretty! The sky looks lovely, a nice day to walk around the town. Take care, have a great day!
Thanks for your comment Eileen. Glad to add this to Skywatch Friday (finally.)
Delete...thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteYou are quite welcome, though your comment sat here waiting for me to approve of it, for some strange reason. I approve!
DeleteYou live in a very nice town. I think things like clean streets and flower boxes make a difference.
ReplyDeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteLong live the small town hardware store!! So many have disappeared as the big boxes have taken over. Really too bad.
ReplyDeleteThe knowledge of the small town hardware store owner/manager was over the top. Shelves or bins always had what you needed and the clerk would take you right to the item. A customer could go in and out the back door without someone saying "How did you get in here?" I loved walking with you around your town. Ahhh.....the memories that were aroused. Thank you. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood shots! We have lots of tourists around now too.
