Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Ongoing Gas Station renovation

 I got stopped at a red light and could take this photo today. They were working on things on a Saturday!


It's not easy to see, but there's a framework for some kind of covering coming out of the garage area now.

Just a reminder of what it looked like before - with some kind of patio area in front of the garage doors.

    This is so cool. There used to be one of those in our county seat, but of course it was torn down. So sad.
