Buds on the Flame Azalea by the parking lot.
A miniature azalea is trying to say it's spring.
The little pink dogwood outside my apartment...with another apartment in background.
A friend took me to Asheville for brunch. An old favorite restaurant on Tunnel Road. There are many other chain restaurants along there also.
Entering the Cornerstone restaurant. Our apple walnut waffles were ok, lots of walnuts, and unfortunately just canned apple pie filling for the apples poured over them hot. I brought home a box of apples and walnuts...couldn't finish them all. Of strange note was the fact that their coffee maker had broken so I had to drink chamomile tea. It was good though.
Today's quote:
W. H. Auden (poet) said, "It's a sad fact about our culture that a poet can earn much more money writing or talking about his art than he can by practicing it."
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLove all the pretty blossoms and trees. The azalea is beautiful. Waffles with apples sounds yummy. Take care, have a wonderful day!
Looking good there. Odd about the coffee. What a strange thing to happen to a restaurant.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a plus plus experience. But I'll try again. It reminded me of Denny's.
DeleteBeautiful blooms.
ReplyDelete...spring looks beautiful in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteIt is at it's prime, I think.
DeleteSo nice to see that you got out for a lovely springtime day there.
ReplyDeleteThe days are getting really hot already, high 70s today is forecast. Thinking of summer. So I'm enjoying as much as I can of this bridge between a warm winter and the unknown summer.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty sights! There must have been some disapppoimted customers when there was no coffee.
ReplyDeleteJust about everyone drinks coffee before noon, and half the people after noon. It was a Monday however, and maybe they'd been closed on Sunday.
DeleteGorgeous header!
ReplyDeleteThanks, those blossoms just smiled for the camera!
