Azaleas, taken 2009 |
Black Mountain
The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

And that right there is why I have bought azaleas over and over.....just to kill them. I have been told our soil is not right for them....so why do they tease us and sell them here? It's so mean to torture people that way. Thanks for making me want them again this year. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't live where these bushes were so abundant any more. But I'm like you, and keep buying more of them hoping someday...
