The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Farmer Sarah
Sarah's chicken family introduced to Sarah Kate. Sarah has 9 chickens I think. She has the very best chicken house imaginable.
Molly and Sarah Kate examine the fresh eggs that Sarah shows them.
I came upon your blog through "Mountain Musings" which I've followed for a long time. I, also, am a North Carolinian (since 1978 from upstate New York). I am literally sick with what is happening to our State. I live in Moore County, which is a far cry from the lovely area where you live, and have to fight prejudice and bigotry every day. I just pray that the Moral Monday protests bring results and maybe we can make some changes in the mid term elections. I will put you on my list of blogs to watch and love your Header picture.
I think there will be a Moral Monday in Willmington, NC coming soon...not sure. Thanks for coming by and making a comment. Now I'll go read your blog too!
So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
