Home for Children

Black Mountain Home for Children (formerly Presbyterian Children's Home) (see their site here.)

I apologize for pictures as I was driving by.  A beautiful setting, but hard to stop along this road.

Quote for the day:

Not only must the most privileged feel they are brothers and sisters of the most destitute, but the most destitute must feel as well that something within them makes them equal to the greatest sages and geniuses.

  1. Taking care of "lost" children is such a wonderful thing. And the setting is indeed beautiful.

  2. Lovely photos and that quote is one I will add to my favorites. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place, and thank you also for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment. I was surprised to find that people weren't too noisy for the amount that were there, they really seemed to respect their surroundings and I was impressed considering there was such a large crowd behind us.

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
