Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

What purples?

Quote for the day:

Treat everyone you meet as if he or she were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do so with no thought of reward. Your life will never be the same.

  1. I like your photo, but I REALLY like your thought for today. As with my nephew Cole, when his parents told him good-bye the evening he left to go back to college, little did they know it was the last time they'd ever see him alive. Such a horrible tragedy...Killed in an accident. He was gone by 1:30 a.m.

    1. I agree, we never know when that loss might strike. Living for each moment, and loving intensely, is part of my goal in life.

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
