Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

It's snowing (when it's supposed to be raining)

These photos were taken at 1:30 on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.  We weren't supposed to get bad snow till tomorrow.  The clouds just didn't listen to the weather forecast!

  2. Same here. It stopped in the afternoon, but it's really coming down now.

    1. Still not coming down here, but due to tonight...into tomorrow. I see by weather map that Hendersonville/Brevard is under the snow cloud, but not Asheville. We'll get ours soon!

  3. They can seem to predict our temperatures any more either. We were not suppose to be in the negative temperatures and some were as low as - 14 degrees F. I hope we get warm enough for rain.
