The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Wooly worm caterpiller

It's all his fault.  When I took his picture at the end of November, I had no idea what would forecast what.  (Still don't)  But I did save it, so if we see these little guys looking like this again, we'll know, something, for sure!

  1. I was told solid black is very bad.. it truly is for certain now. What a horrible hard winter for most of us.
