Paper craft
A couple of shop windows caught my eye in Asheville, standing well above my head in height. Sorry, I missed who the artist was. Isn't this beautiful?
OK, who knows what the term for paper cutting as an art is?
There appear to be several answers, whether you look to the Eastern countries or Europe. I had only heard of Scherenschnitte which was brought to PA with German and Swiss settlers.
So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.

ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous pieces of artwork! I don't know what it's called, other than paper-cutting. lol
ReplyDeleteScherenschnitte is what I've heard -- a beautiful art/craft, anyway you cut it...
