Above Black Mountain Ingles grocery (Blingles to natives) are the mountains where the Blue Ridge Parkway roams. On Tues. 3.19.24 while we had 22 degrees at 10 am, the mountains showed bit of snow up there.
I was a bit disappointed that it still looked kind of bleak.
Instead of bright pink flowers, these are some pink and dark red and white combination. It doesn't come off that pretty even at full bloom. Or maybe it is past prime, and dark flowers are fading. I'm not going to keep it on my list of places to visit.

Today's quote:
On March 22, people from all around the world will gather near rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, wetlands, to sing for the healing of the waters of the Earth and the healing of our inner waters. March 22 has for many years been recognized as “World Water Day” all around the globe.
Love the magnolia blooms, it is pretty tree. It has been very cold here early in the morning. Take care, have a great day and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm late at returning to laptop today. Glad to see you comment!
Delete...Barbara, thanks for the tour, I hope that we can do it again.
ReplyDeleteSure thing, Tom!
DeleteNice pics, but the last one is special.
ReplyDeleteProbably because it was done by a professional photographer. But to me it's special because I've been there a couple of times, including walking behind the falls!
DeleteWonderful peek at small town life. The Black Mountain peaks look impressive!
ReplyDeleteGood to use both peek spellings in one comment!
DeleteNice photos. Our magnolia trees are looking a little different as well.
ReplyDeleteOh, maybe it's a thing. I've found one that looks really full but it's pretty small.
DeleteBeautiful spring season photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting!
