sharing my photographs of the the beauty of western North Carolina.
That is something I enjoy doing when I hike in some special places, like the Broceliande forest (where Merlin is supposed to live)... In French we call them caern, those piles of rock. And as you like landart, you should visit this blog, it is a awesome spring of inspiration :http://rogerdautais.blogspot.fr/
Thanks for the link. I was inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, but had already been doing creek cairns in the Smokies back in the 80s. I'll have to look up Broceliande forest too!
Yes you do : Merlin is waiting... And Vivian is nearby... ;)
I wouldn't mind running into either of them. Your link you sent didn't connect to a blog, unfortunately.
This is to remind me there will be many days we can get into the water soon...just not quite yet!
We love rock cairns and have several of them in our yard and creek, changing them all the time.
Wonderful reflection photo ~ lovely place ~ and creative workings ~ ^_^
I keep building little cairns in my creek and the raccoons keep knocking them down. I stack them up again...they knock them down. I'm thinking of using a dab of waterproof glue just to see what they'll do, ha. Blessings, Victoria
Now that's a fun pasttime!
Nice shot. Have a great week
