The chute at Linville Falls



Linville falls just keeps falling and falling.
After the nice reflecting pond at the twin falls, there's suddenly a chute.






And how convenient for us tourists that the water cut around the observation area then fell through this chute!

Maybe one day I'll hike down to see the lower falls.

    It is a beautiful area. We feel like land lubbers around here as we don't have anything like that. Our largest falls are man made or are about four inches tall.

      Well Larry, you are indeed in the middle of the continent...but I've heard some big rivers flow through that area...and explorers did go that way west...though maybe not in your back yard!
