This is where I live. Half my neighbors may be liberal Democrats, and half conservative Republicans. But due to gerrymandered districts in NC (especially mine) the Reds usually win on ballots. I sure hope not this election.
Our early voting starts tomorrow! I'll be going by and picking up a sample ballot.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI wish they would end all the Gerrymandering. Beautiful scenes and photos. Take care, enjoy your day!
I'm afraid whichever party is in state legislative power has historically done this in NC.
Delete...amen sister.
ReplyDeleteYep.
DeleteNo early voting here. You can request an absentee ballot but we have no need to. Dan and I will vote on Nov 8 the Democratic slate of candidates.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear.
DeleteI'll be voting early tomorrow. Dem all the way.
ReplyDeleteYay! The intelligent choice.
DeleteI love Roe Roe Roe Your Vote! That's perfect. Oh yes, DEM all the way.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to share the pic, I got it from Facebook. Go go Blue!
DeleteI don’t know how and why gerrymandering is allowed to persist in a real democracy. In Canada we have Elections Canada, which, supposedly at least, is non-partisan, and at arms length, and oversees things like riding boundaries.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things Republicans are doing is to elect the local officials who will help then bend rules, toss out certain ballots...etc. Fraud is their goal, not governance. Power. So sad.
DeleteVote blue and stamp out the red.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall colours.
ReplyDeleteHere we have a municipal election after the weekend.
Great colors! Hopefully the women’s issues will get women to come out and vote.
