And I have discovered (well found the answer on line where it was all along) the meaning of one of my favorite blogger's names, By Stargoose and Hanglands. He describes the root of those terms in "What's in a Name."
Today's quote: (I disagree about sleep...)
For sleep, riches, and health to be truly enjoyed, they must be interrupted. -Jean Paul Richter, writer (21 Mar 1763-1825)
Love the flowers, the orchid is beautiful. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteTHanks, I do love having the colors of house plants during the winter. Have a great week, Eileen!
Delete...flowers have a way of brightening up our lives.
ReplyDeleteThey sure do!
DeleteMy violet is pausing in its blooming. Yours is lovely as is the orchid.
ReplyDeleteThanks...I finally gave them all a dose of liquid fertilizer (Miracle Grow). I usually do that when I first bring them inside, but had other things happening.
DeleteYour flowers look great, according the The Bard, A rose by another name would smell as sweet.” (Just thinking about meaning of names etc.)
ReplyDeleteThat made me wonder at how orchids came to have their name.
DeleteI always love seeing the flowers blooming there.
ReplyDeleteJust the same old plants...which have a few changes over the years.
DeleteSo much beauty in those flowers and so nice to see!
ReplyDeleteI've been intrigued by that blog title--now I know its meaning! Thanks for the nudge!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I nudge myself into believing I can check something out and it will only take a minute or two. And then there was today...many checking things out, and looking for an article on FB that disappeared before I got to write down the name of the book I was interested in...I must have looked at a thousand FB articles before that one finally reappeared!
DeleteCheerful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I do feel better having their natural colors, as well as the increased oxygen.
