A nice summertime photo.
My photo with some of the same mountains showing. The peaks on the right are called the Seven Sisters. There used to be a nice photo dioramma describing which one was which, but between weathering and vandalism, it's been removed. Several businesses in Black Mountain go by the name Seven Sisters.
And here's the update of our Friday-Saturday snowfall. All gone by Sunday.
Today's quote: (Not sure I agree, dealing with carnivorous wildlife, I'm not going to sit still!)
The basis of all animal rights should be the Golden Rule -- we should treat them as we would wish them to treat us were any other species in our dominant position.

Beautiful views of the lake and the mountain peaks. Take care, have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good Tuesday...into Wednesday!
DeleteFeeling peak-ed this morning, are you? 😀
ReplyDeleteI did have to peek at the dictionary and found there's also piqued. I do know that feeling!
Delete...this reminds me of several spots in the Adirondack Mountains.
ReplyDeleteI actually bought a wonderful book full of identification of mountains from the Blue Ridge Parkway...but haven't taken it up to stop at each overlook to see what it really looks like. That's a project for another summer.
DeleteBeautiful landscapes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment WIlliam...which unfortunately has been hiding in the "is this spam" place all day!
DeleteI love seeing the mountains there and learning that the peaks are called "Seven Sisters." There is a beautiful mountain range in Oregon called the "Three Sisters" in the Cascades.
ReplyDeleteThe Seven Sisters is a laugh. When I heard one is called Grey Beard...I couldn't stop laughing. Oh I'd love to see the Cascades.
DeleteThat anonymous comment was me.
ReplyDeleteWell, you sounded friendly enough...I dare say these days I'll answer real anonymous comments, as long as they don't sound like porn.
DeleteI went camping in Three Sisters in Oregon years ago.
ReplyDeleteOh you should tell Robin some way. I hear they are beautiful.
DeleteYou're getting about as much snow as we've been getting of late. Doesn't feel right not to have everything covered in white here.
