Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Gifts of nature

The spiral reflection from the leaves above the pool captured my attention.  The pool has recently been reinforced by summer bathers...but I didn't see any on my visit.

  1. Hi B - Lovely photos and post. I really like the quote. I'm still trying to catch up from being gone to the Nat'l Bison Range. My post of the week is up from that today, and my one day for commenting is today. I'm finding that blogging, posting, and commenting every single day is just too time consuming and I get nothing else done. LOL

    1. I know what you mean...I'm cutting back as well. Being outside seems more important this time of year!

So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
