Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Kids and water...

A new fence between parking area and a new fountain feature in Town Center park.
Tiny people and parents are enjoying the splutters of geysers.

I'm sure on hot afternoons this will be a treat...if they can find parking!

  1. It would be a great place for kids and adults to cool off on a hot day.

  2. Barbara -- With all the hot weather we have been receiving I sure this water park will become more popular. i wouldn't mind walking through one myself on a hot day like today here in Oregon. What a fantastic mountain background behind your park photo! -- barbara

    1. Thanks Barbara, I love living here. Coming home from visiting somewhere else, especially by driving, there's a wonderful vista of mountains that just sings to me and I feel just another notch better.
