Autumn on Flat Creek

A raft of yellow (Beech?) leaves pile up in a quiet area of Flat Creek, just below the foot bridge.

Gurgling water hits stones that have been in this creek for hundreds of years.

The stones are the only clue as to where a gravel path leads beside the creek.  Eventually the leaves will blow or crumble enough that the gravel will again show.

Today's Quote:
In the span of a single second, our lives can change, as energy moves at a pace more rapid than anything we can fathom.
