Montreat Campground - Part Three

Near Flat Creek, on one site, I saw this deadwood.  So I looked up to see where it might have come from...and there many feet above my head was the top of this spruce missing it's tip.  The winter storms blew pretty hard this year.  And as it came down it knocked over other parts of trees as well.

There were too many leaves and twigs piled beside the creek for me to climb down to get my feet wet this time.
Quote for the day:

We all know the feeling of being repeatedly haunted by the same issue, no matter how we try to ignore it, avoid it, or run away from it. Sometimes it seems that we can get rid of something we don’t want by simply pushing it away. Most of the time, the more we push away, the more we get pushed back. There are laws of physics and metaphysics that explain this phenomenon, which is often summed up in this pithy phrase: That which you resist persists.
