Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

June blooms

June is almost gone, and here are some more lovely June flowers, mostly from H.'s home during the Art in Bloom tour June 15, 2013.
H. grows roses in one bed right between his vegies.  I love mixing flowers with food plants.

My gardenia hasn't been fertilized much this year, and the blooms sure show it.  Time to get the fertilizer to work.  And I think I won't do just the water from the aquarium this time!

      I agree, and I would do much better with macros with my tripod. But I'm always just buzzing around like a busy bee, and never carry it.
