Black Mountain
The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?
Our local jewelry store is next to the court house. So every time there is news about Brevard, you can always see their sign behind the reporter. Good publicity for a very nice little store.
ReplyDeleteThere are several other jewelry stores in Black Mountain, but we don't have a Court House like Brevard. I love your sweet little town too!
DeleteVery attractive store front!
ReplyDeleteSorry not to have let you know sooner, the answer to "how big is Black Mountain" which you asked a few days ago. I don't have anything but the Wikipedia number, from 2000 census, of about 7500 people. Some days it seems like nobody lives here...others that we may have doubled the population. Fortunately there are still lots of woods around to get lost in.
