Two down, two to go

The cleared lots on Walker St. have just sat empty for the last couple of months. However 2 new homes with grey siding and white trim were finished on the other side of the ranch home that shows through the trees. (Or is it bamboo?) Tee hee, they'll find out if it is.

But suddenly the piles of concrete blocks and lumber were transformed into this new home.

There are 2 permits given to the Tanner company.

But nothing is happening for the 4th house yet.

Today's quote:
I look at the world and I notice it's turning / While my guitar gently weeps / With every mistake we must surely be learning / Still my guitar gently weeps.
-George Harrison, singer-songwriter (1943-2001)

  1. I have seen bamboo used as a windbreak hedge in the Northland in Aotearoa NZ, near Kerikeri. Very efficient and less likely to have falling over issues

    1. I imagine some nice young people will move there soon. The market is squeezed by high need, and thus prices are out the roof.

    1. They do help make a "salt box" into something more interesting.

  4. Watching our new neighboring construction progress. Quite slow. Bamboo! Ha! Glad they are saving here some live oak trees, I'd rather have the whole forest back.

  5. Nice to watch new homes being built, but I really liked seeing the blue blue skies there and the beautiful cloud formations above them. Lovely.

  6. So conflicted at this sight/site. There have to be homes for people but I hate seeing everything built up.

  8. I am in the camp that hates to see houses going up, lol. I know its inevitable but I like my world less populated.
