Former blogger John Bauman (former potter also!) posted this on Facebook the other day.

Nice to know a potter can actually have her own shop and stay in business! Arts are not an easy road, as you know.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope Sarah is successful in her shop. She offers complete dinner sets as wedding presents...at competitive prices. Just not sure how many people are in love with stoneware these days.
DeleteI am SO looking forward to Solstice! Bring back the Sun!
ReplyDeleteYes please. Yesterday I had a rebound from 2 days of rain, complete doldrums! We needed the rain, but I have to figure out how to last through the winter!
DeleteIt is odd that the returning of the light also initiates the winter season.
ReplyDeleteThe Celts used to just have winter and summer...and this would be mid-winter. Then more and more holidays came along...and more religions!
DeleteOh and meteorologically, Dec. 1 is the beginning of winter.
Delete...I love the Christmas quilt blocks! ☃️ 🎄 ❄️ 🎅🏼
ReplyDeleteMe too. So glad John posted this one. Oops, I forgot to ask if I could borrow it. But most Facebook stuff is so crowded with AI these days, I was relieved to see a real photo.
DeleteI am so glad that John is still writing and photographing...blogging is so much better as you can refer back so much easier. However most of all I think many of us wish hat he was still potting
ReplyDeleteI'm on that band wagon too, for sure! I have a mug I bought from him at the Dillsboro Pottery Festival many years ago. It was great to meet and talk with him, after reading his blog for years! Now he's doing postal delivery and still sends nice posts on FB at least. Another way to have a community of friends!
DeleteWould love to visit the pottery shop!
